Technical Consultation on Standard Days Method in Community-Based Family Planning Programs

On Tuesday, December 9, 2014, Advancing Partners & Communities hosted the Standard Days Method (SDM) in Community-Based Family Planning (CBFP) programs Technical Consultation. This meeting featured presentations from global leaders in CBFP and SDM, including country program staff from Mali, India, Rwanda and Uganda. The meeting focused on recent developments in the integration of SDM in CBFP programs, identifying the key benefits of and barriers to using SDM in CBFP programs, and generating strategies to overcome these barriers. The Technical Consultation had representatives from 20 different key organizations and donors with experience or interest in integrating SDM in CBFP programs.
