2015 CORE Group Global Health Practitioner Conference
March 24, 2015
APC will be hosting two family planning table sessions at the Global Health Practitioner Conference in Alexandria, Virginia from April 13-17, 2015. The first session, "How can we improve family planning referrals if we don’t know what works?" will review the evidence on current models of community-to-facility referrals for long acting and permanent methods of FP. The second session, "Findings from a formative assessment of emergency contraception pills at the community level in Uganda," will discuss community-based provision of emergency contraceptive pills (ECPs) and the findings from a recent formative assessment in Uganda of the existing consumer knowledge and use of ECPs, capacity, supply, and barriers of public sector provision of ECPs.
