April 15, 2016

Goal: Strengthening Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (RMNCH) services in five districts as part of the U.S. government’s post-Ebola transition and reconstruction efforts

With the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MOHS) and our implementing partners, Advancing Partners & Communities selected 100 health facilities that will benefit from a full package of project interventions consisting of:

  • Facility rehabilitation, guided by the MOHS’ approved policies and standards on infection prevention and control (IPC) and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH);
  • Capacity building and performance improvement for health post staff and community health workers in priority RMNCH areas, as well as support for the facility management committee and;
  • Provision of minor medical equipment to ensure health worker and patient safety for RMNCH services.

The following maps display the geographical locations of the 100 facilities (20 per district) where Advancing Partners & Communities is providing a full package of interventions, including infrastructure rehabilitation, capacity building for facility staff and community health workers, community engagement, and procurement and delivery of minor medical equipment.
