GOAL

GOAL’s health programme takes a health systems strengthening approach. This involves working with ministries of health (where they exist) to ensure the provision of appropriate, affordable, accessible and quality services to poor, and often isolated populations, with extremely limited access to such facilities. Our programmes are integrated with educational initiatives around a range of health issues, including HIV, WASH and nutrition, and we work closely with civil society and government in their implementation. Building resilience within communities and within health systems is a key component of GOALs work across its health programmes, and policies which promote health, health equity and poverty reduction for all in society are crucial to this.
