The Community Health Systems Catalog is an innovative and interactive reference tool on country community health systems. Search a wide range of information about community health systems across 25 countries, learn more about national policies and programs, view snapshots of family planning activities by country, and analyze the data on the different cadres within each program and country.
Nepal's Community-based Health System Model: Structure, Strategies, and Learning [PDF, 1.8MB] The Community-based Health System Model briefs identify and discuss critical health system inputs and processes that have contributed to the implementation and expansion of community-based service delivery in different countries.
Situation Analysis of Community-Based Referrals for Family Planning This situation analysis aims to review the evidence on current models of community-to-facility referrals for long-acting and reversible contraception and permanent methods (LARC/PM), to provide recommendations on promising models that should be tested for effectiveness, and to provide an agenda for future research.
Health Worker Spotlight: Patience Gyasi, HealthKeepers Network Mrs. Patience Gyasi is a licensed chemical seller at the LA Dadekotopon District, in the Greater Accra Region. For the past 25 years, she has devoted her life to providing health care, including family planning services to her community.
Health Worker Spotlight: Diana Bona, HealthKeepers Network Diana Bona, a public health nurse and the regional focal person for adolescent health in the Greater Accra region, is committed to increasing access to adolescent health education in schools within her region.
Health Worker Spotlight: Bernard Tetteh, HealthKeepers Network Bernard Tetteh is a 45 year old station guard and transport service operator in Anloga, in the Volta Region. As a station guard, he takes the opportunity to educate people on reproductive health issues.
Health Worker Spotlight: Beatrice Ghartey, HealthKeepers Network As a peer educator with the HealthKeepers Network (HKN), Beatrice Ghartey receives training in many areas including adolescent reproductive health, sexually transmitted infections, prevention of teenage pregnancy, sexual abstinence and youth friendly services.
Making a Living and Improving the Lives of my Compatriots "My name is Sybounheuang Sansathit, but everyone calls me Ki. I am a prosthetist and orthoptist (P&O) at the Center for Medical Rehabilitation in Vientiane, Laos. I see about 15 patients per week. I enjoy working with people with disabilities and seeing my clients smile after their new device is fitted."

APC's grantee World Vision implements the TEAM Colombia project with local partners Fundación Saldarriaga Concha, Fundación Cirec, and Instituto de Ortopedia Infantil Roosevelt, which enables people with disabilities (PWD), especially women and girls, to attain and maintain maximum independence to fully participate in all aspects of life in Colombia. Through TEAM project initiatives, more than 1,900 PWD will be reached with services to help them gain maximum independence in their communities.

A former worker of the Ghana Railways Authority, Angelina Tormeti is now a HealthKeeper who supports her family by selling family planning and other health products.
